Studi Eksploratif Hubungan Budaya Organisasi Dengan Iklim Inovasi Dalam Organisasi Studi Kasus pada Universitas Kristen Maranatha
Abstract
Innovation is very important in many aspects of universities, such as research developments and its applications, teaching, and universities’ management. The development of innovation within universities is seldom depend on innovation climate which might affected by universities’ cult. This paper aims to describe the relationship between organizational culture and organizational climate in a private
university. A case study was conducted at Maranatha Christian University through collecting data from leaders from five faculties and rectorate. The questionnaire of Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI) and the innovation climate were distributed and analyzed. Focus Group Discussions (FGD) were done to deepen the analysis. The result shows that there is a correlation between dominant
culture to the innovation climate. When the dominant culture is adhocracy or market then the organization has better innovation climate than the hierarchical or clan dominant culture.
