Abstract

The globalization era is marked by the rapid changes in scientific and technological progress and a challenging situation for the education world to be able to manage human resources who are able to work optimally. The purpose of this research: 1) To determine the effect of empowerment to employees performance, 2) To determine the effect of job satisfaction on staff performance and 3) To know the effect of empowerment and job satisfaction on employee performance. The number of respondents are 36 employees gathered using questionnaires. The results of multiple regression analysis of empowerment and job satisfaction showed effect on the improvement of employee performance. On the other hand, the results of correlation analysis shows empowerment and job satisfaction have a strong relationship to employee performance. Results indicate empowerment and job satisfaction partially and simultaneously have a significant effect on improving employee performance in Manado State Polytechnic. These results could provide problem-solving model related to improving the performance of educational staff in Politeknik Negeri Manado.
