Kajian Kualitatif Praktek Kerja Lapangan Mahasiswa Jurusan Administrasi Bisnis
For years bulks of students’ reports on their apprenticeship program were untouched in the storage even though there was valuable authentic information on tasks carried out by the students of Business Administration study program in their three-month internship program. This study observed the students’ reports to list their tasks done while they were undergoing the apprenticeship program.
The findings may be a useful input for the study program curriculum development. There were 30 reports of 2016 and 30 of 2017 randomly chosen as the samples of the study. In each report there was sub chapter 3.2, it consisted the description on the apprentice’s tasks. All the description were collected, and then categorized into fields. A field had the same or similar tasks. It was found that there were 15 fields of tasks given to the students, among others were hard skills related to the competences of communication, data processing, stock handling, programing, filling, finance, secretarial tasks, inventory, banking, and occupational health and safety. The soft skills promoted are working in team, establishing rapport, adaptability, being reliable, learning from mistakes, being discipline, being creative and assertive, and also being innovative.
