Aktivitas Pembelajaran pada ‘English for Accounting’ dengan Layanan Studi ‘Online’ (ICT) di Jurusan Akuntansi Politeknik Negeri Semarang
Abstract
Information and communication technology (ICT) or better known as Technology and Information is now widely used in education. According to Abbot (2001) "Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is changing the face of education and Worldwide research has shown that ICT can lead to improve student
learning and better teaching methods. This research aims at comparing the study achievement of students who get English for Accounting study service for online learning (ICT) as an experimental group and students’ achievement who do not get English for Accounting study service online learning (ICT) as a control group. The sampling technique used is random sampling by choosing 2 classes among the 6 existing classes (33.33%); one class is as experimental group and the other one is as control group. Each group is given pre test and also post test. The result of analysis shows that there is a difference of mean score between pre test and post test of 16.82 in the experimental group, and 5.9 for the control group. This suggests that the use of English for Accounting study service online learning (ICT) provides an advantage over a class that does not use English for Accounting
study service online learning (ICT).
