Abstract

 One effort to improve the quality of electrical energy supplied by PLN is to reduce electrical power losses that arise due to the increasing use of electrical equipment. We used digital measurement tool that can measure the amount of electricity is more accurate, thorough, easy to read and can take measurements in real time and can be monitored directly using a computer. The current study will address power losses on the location of the electrical workshop Semarang State Polytechnic using a measuring instrument power meter PM 810 is equipped with a data logger. One of the advantages of the Power Meter is the ability to capture the data acquisition functions to retrieve, collect and prepare the data through the computer using software Ion Interprise 3.0.The process of data collection is done in the main panel POLINES electrical workshop. From the data measured can be seen that the voltage is the average measured on the panel is still in the value standardized by SPLN, amount of neutral current measured was good, power factor value is below the value of the standardized, it is clear the need for improvement of the power factor that can increase the power factor value
