Abstract

The oxygen content of the atmosphere is slowly declining, implying that trees in urban forests
alone are insufficient to maintain the quality of the environment and human health in urban areas. All
the land that may be planted with trees, such as in the median road, yard, abandoned land, and vacant
land should also be planted with trees. One way is to awaken all parties to immediately plant trees using
community education. Application Design Learning Tree Planting based on augmented reality
technology aims to assist the community to care for the environment and start immediately planting
trees. Community education through Tree-Based Learning Application is packaged in smartphone apps.
This research provides benefits with new visuals according to the 7-15 year old children segmentation
that provides benefits to build a sense of pride and introduce the benefits of planting trees in a new way
that is suitable for young Indonesians.
