Abstract

Underwater communications have different characteristics with the characteristics of
communication in the air, because the water has a complex With its non-homogeneous nature. The signal
used in water communication is an acoustic signal in which the acoustic signal can propagate away on
the water medium. Vibration of the acoustic signal on the water medium can carry information. In this
paper will be done by sending acoustic signal more than one acoustic signal at the same time and
different frequency that is 500Hz, and 1500Hz, then received by hydrophone simultaneously. The result of
signal delivery will be processed to identify the received acoustic signal and then identified by using Fast
Fourier Transform (FFT) method so that it can know the working frequency of all received acoustic
signal so that in this study can identify an object in water using the frequency received by Hydrophone.
