Abstract

Efforts to conserve energy are applied to all stages of energy utilization, from the start of utilizing energy
resources to the latest utilization, using efficient technology, and cultivating an energy-efficient lifestyle.
The potential for energy conservation in all sectors has a huge savings opportunity, which is between
10% -35%. Savings can be realized in an easy way, can reach 10-15%, while savings with investment can
reach up to 30%. Utilization of energy more efficiently can be achieved through: the use of energy-saving
technology; application of energy-saving culture; the implementation of energy conversion includes
planning, operation and supervision of energy utilization. Griya Asik Day Care as one of the day care
center places in Meteseh Tembalang,Semarang is the user of electric energy consumption which is big
enough for the operation. The use of some electrical components such as AC, Refrigerator, Dispenser,
Rice Cooker in addition to lights become a major contributor to energy consumption. The increase in
Tarif Dasar Listrik (TDL) will further increase the expenditure of electricity payments. The results of
solar cell technology implementation in daycare today is the electrical energy efficiency of about 5% due
to the use of the minimum solar cell.
