Abstract

ABSTRACT

Student dormitories are a place that parents trust in providing protection, service and comfort to
students. Violence against women raises concerns for parents who are away from children studying
outside the city. A system that provides periodic reporting to parents via SMS and email on the last
existence of the child in the student dormitory is required. System requires no data. RFID, facial drawing,
fingerprint mobile phone number and parent email from each dormitory host who will use the system for
confirmation and submission of reports. By using face detection will be known the current condition of
the students and the use of fingerprint will increase the accuracy of data, so the combination of both
added with RFID reinforce the quality of data reports received by parents. The system was built using
Raspbery Pi as the core panel of the processor and integration of devices used for identification. This
system is used as a child monitor which is still a draft that basically utilizes the identification of in and
out of the child in the student dormitory. The ultimate goal of the establishment of this system is to
provide information on the time out and enter the child in the dormitory to parents who live far apart with
children. Parents can access child data by using android apps that can realtime provide Log data child.
It is expected that with the certainty of the resulting data eliminate the anxiety that arises because of
ignorance of parents to the behavior of children in the dorm.
