Memahami Hardware Komputer Melalui Buku Pintar Digital Berbasis Multimedia

Abstract

Hardware is one component that is very supportive in the performance of computer systems. The
computer users should not only understand how to operate the computer but also need to know and
understand hardware devices installed on the computer, so that if there is a problem in the hardware
then the user can find the cause of the problem and fix it. Multimedia-based digital smart book of
computer hardware is made with the aim of making it easier for computer users to know and
understand more details computer hardware devices through information presented in the form of text,
images, sound, video, and animation. The making multimedia-based digital smart book of computer
hardware through Multimedia Software Development Lifecycle method includes the stages of Concept,
Design, Materials Collecting, Assembly, Testing, and Distribution. In addition to cover, introduction,
and table of contents, the digital smart book contains theories about the introduction of hardware
devices, hardware problems, hardware fixing techniques, and hardware maintenance presented into 5
chapters where in the end of each chapter there is a competency test. Through structural testing the
system achieves 78,56% efficiency level in accordance with the expected results, the system can also
perform its functions properly after a functional test, and the system can receive input properly and
produce the output exactly after the validation test, so the multimedia-based digital smart book of
computer hardware deserve to be distributed to potential users.
