Abstract

Thrasher machine for waste processing generally have one kind of thrash mechanism. The
existing thrasher machine can’t be used to treat waste with different characteristics. This research is
intended to produce a thrasher machine design that can be used to process waste with different material
characteristics. The method used in this design is by cutting block replacement method. The results of the
research are preliminary design and detailed design of thrasher machine. The design of thrasher machine
is equipped with three types of cutting block that can be replaced in accordance with the characteristics
of the waste that will be enumerated, ie crusher, shear and swing type. The next stage of the research is
preliminary testing and design review.
