Penerapan Teknologi Presstool Sederhana pada UMKM Pembuat Pisau Stainless Steel di Kabupaten Kudus

Abstract

One of the potential product of Kabupaten Kudus’s SMEs is stainless steel knife.
Location of knife craft center is in Desa Hadipolo, Kelurahan Jekulo, Kecamatan Jekulo.
"UD.HASIL LOGAM" and "NURI" as a knife producer make the stainless steel’s knife in a very
simple way, so the appearance of the knife product is less attractive and need up to 30 minutes
to produce each blade. This causes the products price’s higher than such imported which have
a uniform shape and attractive appearance. In order for the knife craft products to compete
with such products of import origin, IbM Program 2017 is done the effort to improve the quality
and quantity of craftsmen’s products by applying simple press tool technology. This effort is
done by realizing the design of a simple press tool equipment unit with 10 ton’s hydraulic
pressure apparatus to manufacture the stainless steel blades can be done progressively. Thus
the knife products of the craftsmen will be able to compete with imported origin knife, because
the quality of uniformity of product shape and appearance of kitchen knife can be achieved. The
original blade production process takes 30 minutes each blade, using the press tool tool takes
only 30 seconds.
